I've got that feeling! It's the feeling of having accomplished something great, something phenomenal. I feel like a major success! So what did I do? OK, I'll tell you: I finally got around to starting an animated short using my RoughAnimator animation app on my tablet.
Why is this so phenomenal? Well, I've been dragging my feet since January when it comes to using RoughAnimator. It's hand-drawn animation, not cutout, which is what I'm used to. And I'm using my tablet instead of my desktop. But isn't that exactly what I wanted? Yes, but I was still hesitant. This reminds me of a story told by motivational speaker Les Brown, where he had decided to be a speaker decades ago but dragged his own feet for fourteen years before attempting. At least I didn't wait that long!
I'm also using my Kinemaster video editing app, one of the best, if not the best, for Android. There is so much that I can do with it! I created a neater-looking title card and logos with the text layer, and I downloaded some free music that I can use until I figure out how to compose music on my Music Studio app. There are also paid elements I can buy and download, but maybe later.
When I finally finished the three-second "Shrimpkins" clip, I felt not only relief but utter joy. It's such a cute little cartoon! It stars my little children's vitamin-colored people dancing in a patch of grass (the lawn kind, don't get any weird ideas!). I'm learning how to draw on a tablet using my terrific 4-in-1 stylus--only now the pen part has run out of ink, so now it's a 3-in-1 stylus. No biggie.
And now, here it is--my cartoon! Just hand me my Daytime Emmy.
