What a day yesterday! I finally found out why I hadn't received mail for weeks: The Main Post Office mistakenly was given an order to not deliver my mail to my address. Thankfully, my Mom, the wife of a retired postal worker, helped straighten it out, and now I can get mail again. Thanks, Mom!
Yesterday was also when East Chicago voted on a referendum on local schools. Because I'm still listed under my old address, I had to go and vote at my old polling place--which had been demolished! So I had to go to the Mayor's Office to find the new polling place, found it and voted. Whew!
Okay, here's the last frustration. I went to Dollar General to fill my debit card, and it wouldn't register when swiped. Fortunately, the currency exchange across the street could fill it. I need a new card.
But something good did come yesterday evening: three new gag cartoons! I leave you with them.
